Indeed. I was privileged to have been involved for a wee bit back then. Incredible times, and Bruce is incredibly talented. Hope he wins heaps more before he hangs his leathers up.

    Fan-fucking-tastic.

I dream of the day where Bruce Ansty's name (or any of our other champs that keep NZ on the map) name is a recognised in every house hold in New Zealand.

It's always a buzz when watching the IOM footage each year to hear 'Anstey's' name come up, and they almost always clarify he's from NZ which I imagine is mostly because Bruce flies our flag with such pride ( even though keeping that gay looking union jack thing sucks, but ... ) ...... anyway, well done Bruce Anstey, one of the few Kiwi motorcyclists still up there at the pointy end in international racing.
They do all seem a bit weird though, those IOM and Irish road racing stalwarts ... just say'n !!

I was brought up in a road racing country, this man's name has been up there with the greats for years, awesome to see NZ giving him the recognition he thoroughly deserves.

You've got to succeed in business and have a very high profile in NZ and on TV before that happens....At least, the one whose name i won't mention for fear of upsetting Crasher....Is usually referred to as an ex NZ Champ motorcycle racer.

Wow. Incredible. I'm surprised, not because he doesn't deserve it, but I didn't think the powers that be would have the ability to recognize what he has achieved.

Maybe I'll be lucky to see him in action in person one day. I certainly hope he doesn't hang up the leathers for a long time yet.

Now having repped ol' Crasher for his persistence I can't not post on the thread. NZ has some great riders but Bruce is still doing it! Go that man.
