428 sprocket common to a lot of small Suzuki's, Kawasaki's, Honda's and maybe some Pitbikes too.

Is a sprocket that small not tighter than is efficient? 14 is as small as is meant to be practical with 520.

$1.97 and free shipping, how much cheaper can you get. Plenty on Ebay, just need to check the spline size, there are two common sizes 17 and 20mm.

I run a 12 on my dirt bike with a 520. Seems fine.

I can't seem to find any real info on it, so it could just be a myth. It was explained to me that when the angle between two links is too tight, it becomes less efficient. Turns more of your power into heat like.

Its not the best for sprocket or chain life as the load is not spread. But on a dirt bike that's no issue.
