Got more of my own stuff done today than I have all week, even finished off some jobs months old.

nah, just on a stick of celery, just helps take the pressure off during the week, just means home stuff gets left and I get into more trouble as usual

Just set the preload as soft as it will go (that'll get the tyre flush with the guard). As for stance, lean the bike over, this helps lower the bike and adds camber.
