    DOT Vs ECE Headlight

Looking to upgrade my headlight. Kawasaki light pattern is horrible. Is the Euro ECE pattern (with the angled cut off) ok for motorcycles, or the American (and motorcycle) DOT pattern with no angled cut off better?

I'd like to get some opinions from people that have actually had both setups, with similar spec bulbs if possible. No "my original DOT headlight was crap with the standard 55W bulb, my new ECE headlight with the 100W bulb is awesome" type answers.

Does the angled ECE pattern cause problems for riders or oncoming traffic while the bike is cornering compared to DOT headlights?

I'm thinking of going to LED, and I'm wanting to get the best light pattern headlight, without annoying the crap out of everyone else, or me.

I hear the USA lights need a change out for NZ (USA built will have a export light for NZ) due to riding on the opposite sides of the roads - lights reflectors are angled left or right depending on the light.

Makes sense. One of the KB WOF Gurus will know.

VN800? It's a cruiser - add a pair of spot lights like the Hogs.
