Its up on youtube for anyone still interested.

WTF is with that low left hand. Sure, Ali did it, but you know, Ali.

JP looked tired - needs more condition. He has a great boxing head though.

Been waiting to hear them interview Carlos Takam but - nothing? - Has anyone else seen or heard anything from him since the fight?

Ouch! - I think he is better than that! - The only true verdict is a knockout - points are too subjective - although that result looked fair enough!

Agree, 116-112 punches over 12 rounds is close, I felt at about round 9-10 that Parker would need to put Takam on his arse.

its not punches, its points per round, with the winner getting 10 points per round, so they are saying that Parker won 8 rounds to 4 for Takam,

I stand corrected, thank you for pointing that out I did think that an average of 9 or so landed punches per round was light.

...he has to do a lot of work before he could go near Anthony Joshua...

Agreed, but Joshua has also only been fighting easy-beats. This was a real test for Parker. He needs some work on his D though.

    Next opponent announced tomorrow.

...he did seem to get back into it relatively easy later in the bout...he did have a big learning curve in that fight, from third? round , but he dealt with it...

that 8th round was the highlight for me.

Like the man said "punches in bunches". Since the man who said it is Bryan Barry, you listen.

Don't know if it was the telly or the radio. Analogy made that you wouldn't steal a shirt, but no problem once in your home.

Not strictly correct. The store has lost the shirt and loss is easily proven, not the case with digital products. Sky etc are assuming all those watching would have paid, but how do you prove that? Heard that even Longergan was it, that said, my family gets together and everyone pays $5. So uh... isn't that theft?

Will be an interesting test case at the very least (if it gets that far).

Lonegan's family getting together and chipping in $5 each for the group viewing is not dissimilar to what the guy did who live streamed it.
Sky make no rules as to how many people can watch one TV which has paid for the feed...see the pubs who had it on.

If this guy claims he had paid for it so he could show some of his friends....it's a possible answer.

I still disagree with his live streaming it though. it's hard enough for a promoter of any sporting event to make money in NZ. If this becomes normal, there's no incentive to hold anything here in NZ.
