Whist your point is corerct, my beef is why should we pay an extra $50 on top of my Sky to see it. All the other sports are in the package without issues, why not boxing?
I'll tell you why, it's all about money for the men on top and not the sport. When they see Parker the y see $$$$
Trumpydom!
Katdashian would have you believe his style made it look like he sauntered around the ring with his hands dangling at his sides looking far from serious.
But that's just his less than amateur opinion.
Sugar Ray Leonard was the same. No shame in styling off a World Champ.
....and would Sky feel bereft with any of their Tythe-scribers live streaming any of the sports events they ''pay'' for?
If someone has paid for product/service, then that person can feel free to do what ever he/she wants to with that product/service.
I am sure that if I were to buy a bucket of KFC and share it with my family/friends KFC wouldn't give it a shit, it's paid for and I paid the asking price without question.
Once again you are right in what you say.
My point is that i already subscribe to sky but then i am being asked to pay an extra $50 just for the boxing.
I cant watch it unless i'm subscribed so why should i pay an extra $50.
Boxing is all about the money now and not the sport. How many of these bouts do we think have been set up.
Plenty of results have been brought by the mighty $$$
Trumpydom!
I agree with you, there are plenty of clubs around illegally viewing Sky they just don't advertise the fact. Paying $50 for an *hours boxing is ridiculous.
If all 800,000 tythe-scribers paid Sky that would have been $40 million in the Sky coffers. Even if only 150,000 paid it still would have been 7.5 million.
*Yes it went on and fucking on but the main fight was about an hour.
Here is some Q & A from Bryan Barry on the Parker Takam fight.
I haven't caught up with Bryan so far this week: Bryan is the corner man and even makes it to the TV. Kevin is his brother. Bryan's son Chris is in there too.
QUESTION 1: After the first 4 rounds most people had scored Parker up 3 - 1 if not all 4 rounds, what was the chat from Kevin in between these rounds?
BRYAN: Kevin wanted Joe to double jab and hit the body more. We weren't really keeping score at this point.
QUESTION 2: What will Parker gain from this experience and what do you think he displayed that we hadn't seen?
BRYAN: He will gain self belief knowing he can go 12 hard rounds and compete with top 10 fighters. He will greatly improve from this experience. He fought well off the back foot which people hadn't seen. Also a lot of people questioned Joe's chin, now we know he can take a hit.
QUESTION 3: With the title shot looming in around a year, will Joseph be ready?
BRYAN: He still has to learn to stay focused for every minute of every round. He was standing tall out of most clinches and dropping his hands with his head too high, which by the way never dies in training, but I guess with the pressure comes mistakes so we have to iron these out.
QUESTION 4: Why have Duco decided to go for Solomon Haumono?
BRYAN: Solomon is a tough, durable fighter and he deserves a chance. His record shows he is a very dangerous puncher but should realistically be too slow for our man, Joe.

A year or two back I was having lunch in a sports bar near where I worked when the owner took a call from SKY. He was arguing that the charge for a then upcoming fight was too high. I wasn't paying much attention, it wasn't my business and I had no interest in the fight, but the figure $1200 seems to ring a bell. SKY have different rules for pubs but it would seem some of the publicans aren't any happier paying than you guys.
