Hey, thanks for posting that link. Fascinating read. I'd been slightly remiss in not considering the 1925 siege of Jedah when considering the full implications of the Brexit. And I can have more confidence in this link as there are 30 references to demonstrate the validity. Slightly watered down by 27 of those coming from the one document, but that's not really important.

Those hard working immigrants in the UK will make sure of that, not so much the lazy Poms who live in council flats and vote labour.
Your view of the lazy poms probably avoids the truth that it is actually them who saw off the germans twice, worked in the coal mines ,and built the railways. And what thanks did they get? They are asking for their due now.As has been promised over and over again

My view of Lazy Poms was formed living in on a Council Estate in Dagenham for a short time, and working on building sites.

Much the same as you get here really.

I think you will find my Irish Ancestors did a lot of work on the railways, my Father worked in Huntly Coal mines as part of the assisted

passage back in the 40's, perhaps they should bring that back in here, make all the immigrants work in Wellington for a year.

I get the vote for leaving Europe was the great unwashed sticking it to the system, they should have done it in stages and started with a flag

It wouldn't surprise me to now see the UK hit by a few 'terror' attacks.

I stand by my instincts, I do not trust those at the forefront and behind the leave campaign.
Only time will tell, now. I expect that cuts will continue in education, healthcare, benefits and infrastructure. Investment will be made in the armed forces, national security and police.

Looks like Prof Daley, and the heads of Nissan and Ford would appreciate that link to the treaty you've got.... ;-)

The BBC editiorial is just scaremongering. I'm not reading 10,000 pages of inane waffle. There's a huge section in the exit terms, that was negotiated prior to the agreement being ratified. It refers to no lesser terms than prior to ratification, which was zero. I was doing an economics course at the time and it was heavily featured in the study. I guess they could start at zero and then later change their monds. Merkel said should wouldn't be nasty?

Let's hope Greece defults and diverts her attention elsewhere

Ok - Now you got me going, because the original agreement has been superceeded so many times. Try sections 3 & 8 of the 2009 ratification?

EDIT: Looking through the many many changes, no countries seem to accept any of thr agreements in full.

BTW: This very old piece from the BBC archives was pretty much bang on!
