That was always the plan wasn't it? In a few hundred years countries will become like counties and districts are now. Right now we are no better than tribesmen fighting over hunting and water rights. None of us did anything special to be lucky enough to have been born in a civilised country. Why do we assume because we were born here that it's "ours"?

Picking the Brexit won't happen, the Tories won't go for Boris, might get a disposable MP ( one who is close to retiring) to stand for PM, say to the Public the margin is too small, do a bit of grovelling to the EU and business as usual. The gap between Cameron losing and the selection of a new PM is to put the frighteners on the public so they will say " yes it was a bad idea...thank you Tories for sorting it out."
The Labour party is now pretty much history.
Oh and the 1% will have made lots of money in the short term.

Something like this is looking likely. The matter has been delegated to the Cabinet Committee which is not where important, urgent, or critical, matters are sent. Had Bexit been under serious consideration it would far more likely have been directed to Treasury or the Foreign Office.

Cameron has created a poisoned chalice. If, after he retires, Johnson, Gove, or any other proponent of the "Leave" camp becomes Prime Minister they will be in an invidious position. Damned if they take Britain out, damned if they don't.

Maybe once the Public realise that the unelected bureaucrats and EU rules are not much different to what they are used to....

and the 800 old fossils in the House of Lords.

I note that there are some here who distrust the "Main Stream Media". Such distrust is not unfounded. I just listened to the lunch time farming show on Newstalk ZB discussing the effects of Brexit. The host, noting that the Pound stg has taken a dive, is convinced that that is how it will remain and that this is calamitous for NZ farmers.

The financial markets are famously timorous creatures, David Lange described them as "reef fish" which is appropriate imagery. The markets famously hate uncertainty but in a few days, or at most a week or two things will likely return to business as usual. It is to be hoped that the farmers listening don't pay too much attention to this twat, the dairy farmers will be depressed enough already.

TVNZ has sent Mike Hosking to London to keep us informed. Good luck with that. If you really want to know what's up, and what's not, you will need to do better than rely on TVNZ.

Most people use the Internet to reinforce their existing beliefs. People who watch FOX News are doing the same thing, they sure as Hell aren't going to learn much. So you need to find news sources that for instance are not owned by Rupert Murdoch, which isn't as easy as you might think. None of which means we need to rush off and join the conspiracy sites beloved of the tinfoil hat brigade.

The search for reliable independent news goes on. Maybe we need a thread for that?

The peoples of the western world have been dumbed down to the degree that the media can easily manipulate them to believe and vote any way they choose.

From my local sources that's so the mainly Zionist Bankers who control the main political parties and corporations can have one global entity.
The flaw in the plan is the pesky Muslims who insist on not having corporations run their countries and the Zionist controlled West has to go and whup them or get someone else to do it for them.
Really Zionism deserves it own thread

I'm not sure I should answer that. Are you a Muslim fundamentalist looking to create the Islamic State?
