I must say I'm looking at things a bit differently after an Ambulance trip and 12 hours in Palmy Hosp.
It all seems a bit trivial after a day like that.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

I wondered about the temperature controlled room that was mentioned when they announced these. Apparently it's because the frame is raw aluminium and it needs to be kept warm or it'll corrode. Guess anybody who can afford one of those can afford a heated garage - or living room - or wherever they plan on parking it.
But the TT Superbikes are ~220 230 at least thats what they "estimate" (my arse, theyre on dynos for HOURS and those guys know how to build motors)... so to make up for the deficit, is the GP-S thingy that much lighter?

it entirely depends on what percentage of the investment represents vs their net worth.

Its like an interview with Michael Jordan I watched and someone gave him shit about betting large on (of all things) golf. like $20k USD per hole. And his response was unapolagetic, and along the lines of, well, that, to me, is like maybe $20 is to you. Enough to make it interesting but not enough to cry about.

    Something like that anyway.

    Guy Martin

Not sure if this is worth a thread of its own so I'll tack it on here.

You may have noticed Guy Martin was not at this years TT. He is riding in the Tour Divide 2016. That's a mountain bike race from Alaska to Mexico. That would have to rate as fairly extreme.

If I can read the graphic right he is currently fourth although it may not be that simple. Some riders are entered in a time trial distinct from those entered in the race. I don't know much about this, I might have to do some reading.

The event can be tracked here: http://tourdivide.org/leaderboard

Don't look for Guy Martin, he is using a nom de guerre. He is racing as Terry Smith.
