Sad that four riders were killed during the week.

Interesting back and forth between Hutchy and MD at the press conference. They must've been taking lessons from the MotoGP guys.

I've been in palmy Hosp so have missed all the news,4 deaths !!! Jeeesus.

Had a romantic idea I could have a go at the place around 1980,thankfully, probably,I decided not to.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.

The IoM Police were active on Twitter during the week, the usual wannabe racers crashing, arseholes stealing from tents in the campgrounds, Lots of advice on avoiding whatever road was currently affected by an RTC. They don't use the word 'accident' apparently.

There is coverage of the TT on SKY tonight. I stumbled across it last night.

Sad that thieves and rogues are a prevalent group at everything that happens anywhere these days. Arseholes. As for the wannabes, they have always been there and even without the added bravado of the booze , they will keep on killing and maiming themselves.

It's always been a pensive week after the TT for me. Very few TT's have been clear of racing fatalities. So sad but so real. Makes me doubt their sanity, our sanity...but we still get excited and want it to carry on.

    RIP to this years fallen.

Went to a film evening around 1970 where Tommy McCleary showed film of his trip to the TT.
He reckoned the level he saw then wasn't that good - he thought 3 or 4 ChCh riders would be competitive there.

Looking back, it's lucky I didn't believe him....

Saw a clip today of Michael Dunlop chasing and catching Bruce Anstey, it looked like Anstey wasn't going very quick on the RCV. I'd guess though that Anstey has a good idea just how fast he can go.

And yes, I just checked Youtube but can't find the clip. Lots of others though...

Bruce was pretty fucked up with body issues after that 120mph off in practice. He struggled with pain not pace.

Thinking back it might have been 1981 Dave Hissy did ok maybe a third ? Remember he said he learnt it, or tried to in 4 parts. In the end I think he took Bill Biber with him, but they had a divorce and Bill came home . lol.

They have had an hours highlight of each day every night since last week. Half eight on 54 I think. It starts at 8 tonight.
