    Ducati owners - DIY?

Just wondering how many Ducati owners in NZ do their own wrenching and if there's any difference compared to other marques?

I do as much as I possibly can myself - mostly because no workshop wants to have anything to do with the old Bevelheads

true - they're all parts fitters now. No one is taught how to shim a geartrain by feel. And no one could afford the chargeout price if they did.
that's why old B's like me are still in demand.

Do all my own maintenance including belts and valve adjustments. Anything mechanical. I stop short of throttle/fuelling adjustments. Difference to other brands? I thought the valve check on my 1050 speed triple was worse than the ST4s.

Still under warranty for another 15 months I did remove my rear wheel for a new tyre - does that count?
