My mates new tiger was pissing oil out of one fork seal within 2k of purchase. He didn't keep it long, but I wonder what is going on?

Well this is sounding shit. Must be in the bush seat in the forks. Crap manufacturing.

Or crap fork tubes. Bad material or summat.

Bush seats on the staunchin could be built up and re ground, but a whole front end from something else would be cheaper and easier.

Yeah but would you want to do that on a almost new bike? Feck that.

My 20 odd year old Honda dont have these problems.

Welllll, sure. But all manufacturers have similar issues. Aprilias with swingarm linkages made of chocolate, Yamaha R-1's with chocolate gearboxes, hell, old Hondas and their camchain tensioners. My Triumph had a reg/rec recall.

What matters is how it is dealt with. Yamaha from earlier this year is the best example: worldwide recall, a mea culpa, and we will fix it Sir.

So, if OP does not get a remedy from the dealer (unlikely) or Triumph NZ then MVDT or Disputes Tribunal.

The thing is, right, OP has a problem with his bike and tells everyone including the entire internet. OP is happy with his bike and tells his mates down the boozer.

But, it is on the manufacturer/distributor.

Unfortunately, the NZ distributor has something of a track record of being shit to deal with.
