Dual profiles on Windows 10 (Surface Pro 4)

I'm struggling to do something that I think should be a doddle. I have a S4Pro that I use for work, and then also for browsing the net / email at home on a night. I know I could create a new user account for 'work' and swap users, but what I really want is to be able to hit a 'home' button and have it close Skype for Business and Outlook (and for them not to boot at startup when at home). The problem with the user account is that it's logging on with facial recognition. I tried multiple desktops but notifications still occur even when on the 'other' desktop.

If it helps, the reason I want to do this is to get out of the habit of being available and working 24/7.

Thanks for that, I appreciate your contribution. Sadly for me it's a little harder than turning off the fryer and milkshake machine at the end of the day. And I'm not eligible for the gold stars you get to put on your name badge either, which is a shame.

be sardonic all you like, im not the nigger that suffers windows 10, fails to comprehend workspaces, nor has to ask a motorcycle forum for tech support.

Switch users you pussy. And for fucks sake use passwords.
It's about the only way windows is going to do it without shitting.

Serious response - you could create a batch file easy enough to closr your business apps and stop them from running at startup - problem is that your pc doesn't know when its at work and when it is at home (or at least it doesn't without advanced programming)

Akzles response of create a separate account and switch users is pretty much the simplest and best solution.

Nice idea. Won't work, though, for anyone like me that often works from home.

it doesnt sounds like this goy does.

But you could automate work hours.
    Shit's called cron yo.
Windows has some "task scheduler" faggotry. Every day at 1600 run pornandhookers.exe, every 0900 run pretenditsnotporn.exe

only downfall is writing exes. Theyre gay as shit.

I do some work from home, occasional (less than one a month) full weekdays days, but frequent weekend / evening hours. And that's what I'm trying to control a bit by only having the 'comms' occur if I need it, and not all the time. Tends to be that if I'm online working then someone else will email or IM and that will expand into yet more work. And need to cut down on being the first choice for contact out of hours because I'm always available.

Seems like simply closing outlook / Skype Business when I get home is the way to go. Just assumed there would be a way with multiple desktops or similar.

Thumbs up two accounts are best

Come on seriously? Just create another account. It's the best way to stop yourself looking at work while you're off the clock.

Problem is that you'd have to create a watcher task or a service to constantly monitor the Network to detect changes - which is like cracking a walnut with a tactical nuke (in this case anyway)
