Also if I do get the "other" bike on Sat, SG, you can use that.

I'll be offline tonight because of the laptop visiting the neverworld so if you want to get hold of me text me on 021 743448 or phone me on 3790816. Like I say, Aaron, did you want to use my bike?
Good luck with the op.....yer braver than me

Erm- it's a bit more complicated than that. Once upon a time I bleated on KB about needing a new front tyre. Some generous soul offered me their front tyre as they were getting a new one "Hardly worn they said" Unbeknownst to me the generous soul got a bit carried away on it, went out and SHAGGED the tyre LOL. I dropped into Pitlane to pick it up, and Don said "Nah, I biffed it mate- it was fucked", then he sold me a slightly used Metzeller for $20 or $30. Said, "bring in just the wheel only and I'll chuck it on". Hence I need to take the wheel only in.

Just had a call from the doc today at 9:45 saying that tonight I have to go in and have the fluid drained off my knee (OUCH!!!!!!) and if they see fit they can do an arthroscopy at the same time. So either I will be too sore to come, or hyped on drugs that I will be flying and OK to come.

But the plan is at this stage I'll be going.

If I am good to go, I have offered my bike to R1Aaron because he doesn't have one, but if someone has a more comfortable bike, ie not a sports position for the knee, would I possiably pretty please be able to use it to join youse?

To sore to come?? Bah! I've never been too sore to come! Like the time I got out of hospital after major gut surgery and had a big row of staples down my belly. I made MrsB climb on top an..... oh, hang on, that's not what you meant is it?

    Lol Tony.

Ok, heres the deal you sadistic buggers. I have just phoned the doctor and said to him that if I have surgery may I go on the ride. The answer I got was he did not want me riding for 6 weeks after the op. BULLSHIT. If I can take my full license with my leg in a cast I can go for a ride on Sunday.

Anyway the doc swore at me and said if I am adament about riding on Sunday I should ride something like a harley so Im not bending my knee. Anyway, any semi cruiser or cruiser that wont involve me having to put my knee down to turn a corner is good. Unfortunatly I dont have one and would like to ask if anyone of you nice people would loan me one or pillion me?

Can't make it. Got finals next week.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

BTW R1.... I understand theres a convenient reason why your bike is in pieces hidden in various places round town, something to do with rd blocks, sirens and a nice tootel ride home from Akaroa
    cheers DD
