You could have easily made it. Everyone was waiting for me! Sorry guys! Thanks so much for waiting... it's actually quite embarrassing... Sorry about chewing up so much or your riding time guys.

Was good to get out and try some new roads. But that will be the first and last time I ride down German Road... dead straight for fecken miles and bumpy as feck. Not my cup-o-tea

I FINALLY got to meet Sniper! He exists! And so do I! And I know where he lives ..... MUHAHAHAhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

But, due to ..... events.... that transpired after the ride I may not be doing any 'social' group rides. We might have to do some rides for the time concious. Ride to destination, no time for chatting, turn around and scamper back home.

I'll second that and so will SDU.
She enjoyed riding the super tanker even more.
I seen her doing the Guzzi wave a couple of times, but all's good.

Good to try to put some names to face's.

A nice scenic ride? there was a reason for that!

As we rode past straight past the BIG SIGN that pointed left and said Ashley Gorge I was wondering where we were going as the road we headed up gives you the option of turning around and coming back the same way or riding Lees Valley (50-60km of shingle) it quickly became very obvious that the guy (who shall remain nameless but who has just bought a new Guzzi ) didn't know where he was going

Diesel Pig gave the GSX1100 a bit of a squirt to pull up behind the nameless Moto Guzzi rider and I thought he was going to pull him over and tell him just what a cock he was but he was to interested in seeing just how far we would get before the Moto Guzzi rider woke up and realised his mistake, a little bit up the road Guzzii rider finally wakes up to the fact he has no idea where he is going and pulls over and we tell him where to go

We head back to the turn off and head off to the gorge, the road is quite fast and flowing with some tighter corners at the Ashley Gorge end and we were getting along at a medium pace, just past the Gorge we turn off and head down some other roads to Cust and bypass Oxford completely, I just about stuff up one 60km corner and end up very near the edge of the road on exit but they say a miss is as good as a mile and carry on to the Cust pub

After arriving at the pub we realise we're about 6 short but they're soon tracked down to the Oxford pub and turn up about 1/2 hour later, where after the usual beer, coke pies and bullshit we all head off home

Thanks to all (you know who you are) for an awesome day.
Big hugs to Mr and Mrs Sniper who are the best (yes he does exist, I can back Tony's sighting)
Nice seeing some KB'ers that I have not met before and some familiar faces,

Big thanks to Dangerous for organising it all

I really did wonder where the hell D was going, but I just followed blindly. Hubby stopped just before the proper turnoff and I never saw him again.

It would have been nice if someone had waited at the turn off - I was riding with Skyrider behind me, happily travelling to Oxford as i wasn't really sure where we were going!!

After arriving at the pub we realise we're about 6 short but they're soon tracked down to the Oxford pub and turn up about 1/2 hour later, where after the usual beer, coke pies and bullshit we all head off home
yes I was one of the 6. I really wanted to be back in CHCH by 2:15 at the latest and it was 1:45, so I went home via the tram road, having no actual idea where everyone else really was!!!
I now know where the tram road goes to, very boring road.
Did not get to chch in time for what I wanted - just missed the open home by a matter of minutes. Hubby was nowhere to be seen and I got home about 2:40pm. What a ride, don't actually want to repeat that one!
