    1994 zzr250 starting issue

    hi guys

i hadnt started my motorbike for about 2 months then 2 weeks ago i changed the head gasket without trying to start the bike to see if it will actually start ... so the gas in it was old etc

so i put it all back together and nothing ...
    checked spark , has spark
cleaned out old fuel and cleaned out pull in the carb .. put in fresh 98 ..
pistons move up and down when turning the shaft with a socket and wrench .....
ive sprayed ether spray in the air intake , does stuff all , and burned my hand more then the bike ...

i dont know alot about bikes but would have thought i would have gotten it started by now ... any ideas i can do? ill attach a short video of it trying to start ... yes its painful to hear cranking over so much ...

i get very minor reaction when i pull down the throttle each time

i havent done a push start in second gear as i dont have a pusher to try haha unsure if it would kick it in or not ...
im moving flat next week so ild love to get it started .... or else i have to push it into a van what i prefer not to .... cheerz

I'm assuming that you're certain the cam timing is correct.

    Add to that list
Ignition timing or in this case plug lead order.........
Are the plugs getting fuel ie wet. if not.
Check the fuel is coming out of the taps
Check/open the fuel overflow screw to confirm the petrol is getting to the carbs. it will run out the overflow drain. (you could just tip the bike on one side for the same result.)
If not give the float bowls a gentle tap.

PS put the airfilter back on and throw away the ether.

Also if all the rest is fine
check the kill switch and the side stand cutout wiring.

Did you actually make any attempt to line the timing marks up?

Find a new filter, fit it if you haven't already.
