Do you search TM for motorcycle 'projects' despite not having the funds for the project if it turns up?

Does that relatively new helmet you purchased a year back not 'go' with the new bike you purchased 9 months back and really piss you off?

I love project bikes, the thrill of bidding, planning what to do if I win, searching the net for parts, picking up bike dragging it home....

Currently have about 4 of these projects......

I should know by now its better to let someone else do all this sink thousands of dollars into a bike and many hours then buy it.

I used to commute every day and by the weekend I was not that fussed on going for ride.

If i worked in the trade I'd probably spend the day on here with conspiracy theories and let the customer pay for it
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

I had accessories on order before I paid the deposit on the bike. Took me two days to run up the kms before the first service and while it was getting said service done I was already organising more accessories. I havent bought a helmet to match my bike but I did get accessories for my helmet, does that count? To think this all stemmed from my wife asking a question while we were driving to work, "Have you ever thought about getting a motorcycle?"

Motorcycle is 10 time more powerful than drugs, once you have tasted it, you are doomed, you are not getting out of it, there is no rehab on earth can help you.

Yes it does so I just buy another one to suit the new bike.

    Is there a cure?
For me, No need to find a cure for something that does not exist.

Don't get me wrong. I bought it because I had a need. It meets that need.
I also feel like part of the reason I ride died with the install because now I have no excuse if my phone goes flat.
Part of the joy of motorcycle over a car is supposed to be the freedom to disconnect.

Some people ride to be cool.

Some people ride because its easier to commute.

Some people ride because they want to ride.

Some people ride because they want to ride and love the machine.

and then what, sit in front of the telly getting fat, having to tell your mates you didn't do it yourself, we've all built model airplanes as kids and know where the fun is at.

Yep, makes perfect sense, I do the same. Sticking to a couple of brands of bikes makes it easier too.

Respectfully, buying another bike is maintaining the habit. As we should, because there is no cure that is not worse than the disease
