People who designed model kits were vindictive and evil minded barstools...

My son was a avid model maker until the Playstation arrived ......... now I swear if he had to decide between leaving a epic virtual battle and having a poo he may actually decide to shit himself!

Still he is a most excellent rugby and basketball player so all is not lost. Thank god for sports (despite the time you invest in them as a parent!).

I've missed my fix this weekend ...... Saturday sports, Mrs B's Birthday today - apparently considering a ride under the pretense of gifting her some alone time on her special day was not a option.

I may find time to cut out that horn relocation bracket I am working on tonight ......

Do you search TM for motorcycle 'projects' despite not having the funds for the project if it turns up?

Does that relatively new helmet you purchased a year back not 'go' with the new bike you purchased 9 months back and really piss you off?

    Is there a cure?
That helmet looks striking as you fang along. Suits the colour and make of the bike IMHO. Sorry to be a new purchase party pooper!

Not sure if I'm addicted to accessorising to the nth degree, I mean I've had a yellow bike for three years but still got a white helmet...the temptation to get a yellow lid is slowly building though

The rim tape I added was the correct colour of course, we won't talk about the wiring loom for the radar detector, the wiring for the extra power socket, the GPS locater, the hot grips, the touring screen, the luggage set from Ventura, the manual from Mr Haynes...after all those are just the bare essentials aren't they?

Oh hell, who am I kidding? As long as I can swing a leg over my bike I'll keep riding...

After clicking over 247,000km on the Blackbird I decided to give it a major makeover but didn't want to be without a bike so brought another Blackbird (2000 model) whilst in the meantime pulled down the other bike into a 1000 & 1 bits for powder coating etc. etc. Just so happened to be doing the C1KC when it wouldn't start half way through the event & had to have it collected by Biketranz in Plimmerton & delivered to the Waikato, while it was at the shop getting fixed ( stator & rectifier) I popped into Hamilton motorcycle's & there she was 2006 Kawasaki ZX14 in RED I was all over it like a boy in a candy store & within the hour it was mine, so 3 bikes later I have transferred over from 1 Blackbird to another all the good bits (powder coated rims, swingarm, Ohlins shock & Racetech front etc) to end up with heaps of good spares for the Honda. I have already done some part swaps on the ZX ( pipes, carbon fibre bits) & now have 2 AWESOME bikes to ride till my hearts content, so is this a mild form of Motorcycle addiction?

I have just realised that I probably have a mutated form of this condition. My wife has her own bike and I have been putting farkles on it. So a kind of addiction by proxy if you like. "hon, you would just LOVE this on your bike wouldn't you?" Her:"ok, if you think it would be useful...."

I do ride her bike occasionally as well, so get to enjoy the benefits from time to time.

Isn't it amazing the wee stories you tell yourself to justify things.......

Haha, I learned a long time ago that a little bit of restraint goes a long way...

The whole Yoshi thing I considered, but since I don't really need the extra power and the bit of weight loss a set of Yoshis would bring is irrelevant to me...nah I'll just stick with the stock dustbins. Easier come resale/trade-in time anyway to flick off a relatively unmolested bike.

I find your lack of commitment disturbing

More Ponies - Meh, the Busa has got more than enough to scare my Tits off.
Weight Loss - Meh, Would get more value going on a Diet tbh

    However

a Narrower profile (those Stock cans are Huge!)
a Deeper, nice bass note - Yes, Yes please.

I bumped into someone a wee while ago with some Yoshis on his '08 Bus, I nearly creamed myself when I head how deep the bike purred when the engine was running.

Yeah fair call, but the sound alone isn't enough motivation for me
