Both of those recent shootings of black guys appear completely indefensible and might have gained some traction in getting matters improved. Now though the attention will switch to the police shootings and the "Blue Lives Matter" crowd.

I watched both of the shooting videos that were available. One thing was common between them, the cops were the ones with all the power yet, to me at least, they seemed to be terrified.
You have to ask what kind of selection process they go through to recruit police over there and what kind of training police get to prepare them for the job.
The woman in the first shooting was sitting beside her dying boyfriend with a child in the back seat. She seemed calm, collected and with the presence of mind to keep her voice steady and physical actions under control. The cop on the other hand was borderline hysterical.

The second is beyond belief, two policemen have one guy pinned to the ground and the man being restrained is shot at point blank range multiple times, a cow in an abattoir has more chance.

Its not guns, NZ has a shit load of guns, its a country whose people are gripped and controlled by fear.

Subsequently a group of people decided to start an organisation called Black Lives Matter and raise funds. The latter do not consider the original people to be members of "the movement". President Obama, and the Presidential candidates chose to meet with the original people though. To the annoyance of 'BLM Inc'.

I have been following one of the original BLM people on Twitter since the beginning, and because of that I see posts sent by others. There is no elite funding. Some of these people have been living on the charity of friends. The long term prominent black activists like Jesse jackson, who have achieved very little, don't offer help, presumably they see the new wave as a threat to their own funding.

One of the most prominent BLM activists, Deray McKesson, has accepted an education post in his home town at a salary of US$165,000pa much to the chagrin of viewers of Fox News who don't realise that he is actually qualified for the position. Certainly Fox News coverage didn't mention his qualifications or experience.
