    VTR1000 IMMACULATE CONDITION 12800Km

Has to be seen!!! a stunning bike in yellow, in mint original condition - looks like new - 12710 Km only -

just had Scorpion cans fitted and tuned by RS Motorcycles ($600), not silly loud but throaty as a V-Twin should be. Best mod you can do for the Honda, with more power, a quick bike that turns heads - New battery, Carbs cleaned, balanced and re-jetted. New plugs etc

    Optional extras:

    * spare 280kph speedo Instrument cluster "suitable for track day use"
    * Standard cans

Extra value of $1500 added to this bike, so you do the maths and tell me this isn't a bargain:

    Service - $600
    Scorpion cans - $900
    new battery - $100

Has toolkit under the seat and the factory tail cowl comes with the bike - autographed by:

    Carl Fogerty
    Neil Hodgson
    Doug Lampkin
    Valentino Rossi
    Michael (Mick) Doohan

These bikes are now hard to find in this sort of condition with lower Km’s

I do suspect with the spare speedo that it's done more than advertised, swaped prior to import etc --- but even then, its the small tank version which means you need to fillup a million times to get from auckland >> wellington ---- and at that price range there are nice ZX6R's and fireblades you could have --- or even SV1000's which are much newer

signatures make it look phaggy too... just say'n

extra value???? a service is for prior time spent on the bike to get it back to correct operational status, it's required
a new battery, something that's essential to run the bike, not an extra or a luxury...

I always had a soft spot for those things....

BUT - that's just the deposit. The soggy suspension will need 3K+ spending on it...

Signatures add no value to me - detract in fact as they look messy.

And fucks sake, you can't say the service is part of the 'added' $1500 value. It's a running cost every year, or a given if a dealer is selling you a bike.

And it's yellow. Possibly the least favorite colour.

Reckon you'd shift it at $5k, maybe start there and hope for a bidding war.

Had one for a year or so and can concur.

It was a nice bike, but just missing that extra "niceness". Mine was a 2005 too...

Front forks were alright once the springs were upgraded, but overall the whole thing felt a bit lacking. Definitely not comparable with modern bikes, that's for sure.

Lot's of wheelies though, good fun on a 1000cc V-Twin

They are a fun bike and I loved mine. This is waaay over priced. Needs the tensioners done as well before it goes bang.
