A social get together - ie a party is suitable for kids etc 'cos you can leave anytime you want etc and is relatively 'contained' not to mention affordable for everyone. hey, the diehards can always make it an overnight experience still...

A rally, or even an overnighter, once it gets up in numbers past you and the dog is a whole different kettle of fish. Hauling enough stuff for families, dinner, breakfast, sanitation etc etc is not all that practical plus venue becomes a BIG problem. Plus the organiser starts becoming liable for a whole bunch of problems that I for one don't want to entertain at that time of the year! Contrary to popular belief, the days of 30 or 50 bikers being able to rock up to a beach and light a fire and sleep the night away are well and truely over.

If you want to organise a rally... I reckon that would be great (except I'm banned from the music quiz - don't ask) and I'll attend if I can get away...

Oh buggerit.... I really should never have asked peoples opinion should I? I mean who would have thought that they would have had them... ;-)

    Cheers
