So the other night while having a couple of saki I hit buy now on something I had been watching and the price had just been lowered.
Yay me... except that's not where this cautionary tale ends.
The ad I was watching was not gone from my watch list.
No worries hit buy now.

At a more sober hour I discover I have bought 2. C'est la vie. I have a spare. Except the second one doesn't arrive. Check of the email... DAMHIK, second one is pick up only.

Finally getting to the points:
1 I am a dick.
2 anyone wanting to go for a ride to pick up a package and forward it to me if the seller won't send it? http://www.trademe.co.nz/1121616656
3 Trademe and alcohol / sleep deprivation don't mix.
4 don't watch list pick up only stuff from other regions.
5 if it seems to cheap it probably is.

At least you (seemingly) genuinely made a mistake, unlike most who bid and then afterwards pull the 'oh I didn't realise it was out of town, can you post it to me' line.

Anyway...
1. You're not the only one who has fucked up on trademe
2. PM me the details if they won't send it to you.
3. Correct, trademe and alcohol definately don't mix
4. You can put notes on things on your watchlist to remind you it's out of town
5. One of the rules of life.

Best, worst, and most surprising Trademe purchase.

DR350, mean little beast would still be my daily ride of choice if it weren't for the Ramarama straights on my commute.

My guitar stands, forever having bits fall off.

I woke up one morning to find I'd bid on a car at a pub... luckily I didn't win. Or I listed my Hayabusa to start at $10k got a text at the pub that people were bidding and reserve was met at 1k.

Finally got hold of seller.
Says will organise postage next week.
Guess I need to be a little more patient before looking into ways around a vendor.

Adding another point:
Don't assume that because you are replying to their email they will get it. Phone is best.
