I highly suspect it's unlikely that you'll be able to do it yourself. Have you tried YouTube?

Highly unlikely your chain is loose if you have a newish bike. Look for the SASS or NASS thread depending where you are in Auckland. Go get some learning. Ask there and someone will shown you how to check it.
Most moto retailers I have dealt with will happily show you how. Some will charge you a small fee. Usually 1/2 an hours wages if it's the mechanic who shows you.

If you ask nicely about the rack at the same time you might get it sorted in the same min charge time.

A bit like posting here. It is much easier if you have a lot of similar questions if you put them all in the same thread. Sometimes details from one question will answer another etc.

It sounds to me like whoever sold you the bike didn't do a very effective job of the delivery stage of the sale... or you weren't listening in your eagerness to try your new beastie.

I knew the chain was loose as when I bought the bike I had someone look at the bike for initially before buying the bike. My bike friend told me that he is able to tighten the chain however he has been busy for the past couple of month to do it. I am taking the bike for servicing, however I wanted to learn how to do these kind of things myself so that I can do it in the future thanks for your advise though

Lol, the chain didn't fall off, and I didn't fall off "YET". Gotta wait 2 weeks before I can get my chain tighten.
