There's a reason why the cliche "cutting corners to get the job done" has negative connotations...........
Ride like everyone else on the road is an idiot, and you won't be far off the truth sometimes.
To be old and wise, you first have to be young and stupid. But not too stupid, else this might happen.
This was stupid dialled to 11.
Need to make the first part of the licence process about attitude.
1. Am I going to fuck up someone else's day?
2. Am I going to fuck up my passenger's day?
3. Am I going to fuck up my day?
That is why I go on very few group rides.
Never too old to Rock n Roll.

I've got miserly tourettes and I don't give a fuck.
That was insane! Accidents like this don't help to keep unrestricted roads the way they are now. Two bikes head on .... wide open corner with good visibility. WOW!
Yes .. that's exactly why riders should not cut corners ...
"So if you meet me, have some sympathy, have some courtesy, have some taste ..."
The dude at the back that was following too close and ended up in the ditch is perhaps the 'victim' of a group ride, but it looked like the offending party here was just passing in an inappropriate place that probably would have happened no matter what was in front of him.
What part of for(int i=0xC02;putchar((i&7)+69)&&(i>>=3); ); don't you understand?
Hey dude, lets do a head on and see if we can make a fireball.....
In all seriousness though what a douche. the line is there for a reason.
Godz that is horrible. The offender was way over (seems to try and go right outside the oncoming guy even) and one of them is on fire on the ground at the end. I can think of at least 2 times I've ended up on the wrong side of the road through my own poor judgement, all without incident, all years ago and each one a personal embarrassment. But for the grace of the great spaghetti monster in the sky (may his noodley appendages bless you all) go I.
I can also think of of a few group rides where I've seen a lot of pointless passing in bad places.
