So it's just a case of more punctuation needed to clarify the intended meaning of a statement summary or a sentence ...

Does tend to help. Case in point - compare "let's eat Grandma" and "let's eat, Grandma". One assumes that most people would understand that granny isn't about to be cannibalised, but I'm sure she would appreciate the clarification!
