Welcome to the mad house of KB, don't go taking offence or any of the few remaining gates, we are running out! You will soon learn who to reply to seriously and not. Any bike is a good bike, better if it goes, take your time and find some time for yourself and some good open roads, go enjoy relearning all the old ways. Then seek help! You know professional ACC sponsored rider courses, one on one riding and training all good stuff. Plan on sticking around long enough to be a burden on your kids.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

I'm not one to take offence. Nothing wrong with a good leg pull.
I'm going to complete my licence now.
It's been a while ha ha

I'm picking you know about the Karapoti's already? http://www.gw.govt.nz/Motorised-recreation-user-code/

The other place I used to ride around was Long Gully, past the wind turbine in Brooklyn. It's private property but the gate was often open and the owners were fairly friendly for $20.

Oh, welcome to KB. A site for all motorcyclists, even those from the 'Nui

    Returning rider.

The odd was the use of 4wds
I got a 4x4 and left the bikes for a long time.
Iv spent some time in the akas on 4 wheels but never on a bike.
Have frequented long gully too. Again in a 4x4 and using a rifle. A nice family out there.
Took the bike for a ride down the coast for the first time in ages. I always enjoyed a quick ride down there. In jeans was a cold trip and I couldn't feel my legs when I got home. New pants are on the list.
    Go the swamp ha ha.

I prefer a cheeky tug rather than a pull.
