I gave up on this one. The law requiring headlights are on has some exceptions (which only apply to a minority of scooters) so it's not a law. *SHRUG*

    Now you're getting it!

There's also an age (bike/scoot) exception in which neither are required by law.

I was conversant with the law before l posted.
    I know about the 1980.
So you admit that it is compulsory for all SCOOTERS (after 1980) to ride with headlight on dip ( or DRL) during daylight hours ?
CHUR ! Did I upset you...

A scooter is, in law, a motorcycle.

So to all people who ride with their headlights OFF and think it's Legal, once again l state....all scooters (motorcycles) must ride with headlights on at all times.
(Except the .0000% who have DRLs on, or the .00001 % who are pre 1980)
CHUR ! Did I upset you...

You might want to look up what counts as a DRL, they're more common than you think...

I drive the car with the lights on and have noticed an increasing number of cars doing so. No matter what you're on/in on the road, what ever you have to do to make your presence on the road known is up to you.
