    Mentors in Rodney?

    Hi all
I'm relatively new to road riding, have ridden dirt for a long time, but recently purchased my first roadie (not counting hooning about as a youngster on dodgy bikes)
Id like to know if there are any mentors in my area that I could have an observed ride with and maybe get some tips?
any help to shove me in the right direction appreciated
    Cheers

Also Tricia if it's a one on one tutor you're looking for. http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/me...684-Tricia1000

Getting a mentor is very helpful - especially when you're new...

I had a few rides with a mentor when I started out and found the feedback great. it added to my early experiences and gave me confidence.

Thumbs up for trying to get one!

Thanks I will! we've already done a big trek up to Cape Rianga (sp?) from North Auckland, and another smaller adventure up to Kerikeri a couple of weeks ago, I'm riding with trusted friends & no pressure from them to be fast or loose. Another friend of mine was giving me some advice today re: the logging trucks from Kopu (sp again!) & generally to be bloody careful, so I'm going into it with a huge amount of caution - if its too scary I can always tell em all to gedda fuck, turn about and go home!
