    Certification Question - Modifying Frame

    Good Evening Everyone,

I am wondering if I need to get a modification certified. I have basically shortened the chassis of the bike to put a shorter seat on it, so it has been cut down and welded together (see the photos).

Can anyone offer any guidence here?

Depends in what sense of the word 'need' you mean. Technically, according to the LVVTA bureaucrats, probably. To get a wof though, just make it, and the rest of the bike, look tidy (which it appears to be already) and you'll have no problems.

    Curious

Gday Did you end up going for a WoF? and did they way anything about it? I just started work on a Gn250 and was thinking of doing pretty much what you have in the picture.
