    Husky SMR511

Hey Guys, been a while for me, bought this as my first motard and worked on upgrading it over the winter, great fun to ride. Still getting the hang of it but learning all the time.

    Here's some of the mods:

    Looks / Protection:

Changed from red/white to black plastics with custom matte graphics
    Tail tidy
Carbon frame guards, slave guard, clutch and ignition covers
Powder coated rear frame, swingarm, pegs, brake pedal
    Anodised bits and pieces
    Metisse Sliders
    Racetech handguards
    Watson flush mount LEDs
    Driven shift pedal

    TC511 Airbox
    SMRR billet triple trees
    Akrapovic exhaust
    TuneECU Efi tuning
    Second butterfly removed
    ZipTy Racing oil breather tank/mod
    Slipper clutch
    NGK Iridium plug
    EarthX Battery
    Supersprox sprockets - front, rear
    DID chain

Pictures through the journey, as bought, then back to stock to register, then into the teardown:

And some more, mainly done now.

Did all the maintenance as well, oils, grease, filters, etc.

Had a lot of fun working on this. I've done a few old cars in my time, but it's refreshing to be able to do pretty much everything yourself on a motorbike, no need for heavy lifting.

Thanks boys! I reckon it's badass, goes like a fking missile.

Going to chop the tail down, the weight drags the plastics down a bit, shortening will sort it out.

Also need to do something about an aux tank, the way its ridden means it only gets about 100km to a tank.

Got some more black coming, just alloy caps and stuff. Not much more I can do, but that's good for riding time!

LOL. We have a wee 2t like that. The faster I make it go the more often we top up. Currently sitting below 120km's on an 11ltr tank before reserve.

It's amazing fun between petrol stops, though.

    Braaaaaaaaap on.

Oh, yeah, delicious bike you have.

11 litres! Mate you might as well be BP, I've struggling along on 8.5, who thought that was a good idea.

8.5 litres would be great my WR 450 holds 7.2 litres, a bit over 100 km's to the tank thanks to fuel injection.
Black and gold looks awesome, very very nice indeed.

Ha, was waiting for that. Made for short but extremely fun sprints.
