    Motul 6 hour. Three bikes...WTF?

Just been lookin into doing the six hour next year. Had a a guy lined up to give the RF lump a freshen up to make sure it would last the distance. Fellow riders jacked up. Even found a place that sells race fairing for the old girl.

Then I fin out its a relay style race, and everyone rides their own bike. That's fucken gay!

    Very disappointed.

Agree, I don't know why they don't just throw everyone in and make it a Two Hour ??

There must be some attraction about 6 hours of old,but its not ,is it?

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

The six hour of old was awesome. Bike prep was key to winning, and good wheel changes. Good set up and rider fitness all super important. Now guys do a thirty minute stint each and get an hour to be ready for the next hoon.

That's not an endurance race, it's the same as running two classes at a bloody club round.

It sounds like a recipe for bumsex endurance to me. Do they have a compulsory header wrap rule too?

We could gas up and change a rear wheel on an FZR in 20 seconds.

sounds like it's time for you to organise something how you want it then maybe?

It was started last year by the guys that run 'Playday' pretty much mainly for the substantial number of riders that do track days.
If you scroll back to the info around last year when it was first being sounded out, you will find it was all about the track day riders that attended the Playday sessions.
Just another very entertaining way to run another trackday with a slightly more serious slant on it. A big challenge for many track day riders, and bloody interesting as well. Probably a good stepping stone for some as well.
It seems quite a few serious racers got on board as well, all good ... they were obviously at the pointy end.

So there it is Drew ... the concept was never meant to be a serious 6hr race like the 'old' one for serious teams and serious racers.

For the trackday riders (as opposed to 'racers') it is a big challenge, it's exciting and it's fun.

An endurance race with 3 vehicles per entry.

Well ya wouldn't see that at le mans

What a joke, completely defeats the point of endurance racing.
To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead.

Back in ermmm my day one could spend an near an entire nats season worth of money on that one castrol 6 hour race - taking into account an engine freshen up and all that. Loved the concept, just not the price tag that came with it.
