Got into the new'Mylaps site' to get some results and try to figure out who was who ?
This M.Dunlop fella not in the results ? Maybe results from TT don't tranfer over to our little tracks ?? Anyone shed any light on happenings at Taupo ?

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

So, managed to get the results off Mylaps for Rd.2 Manfeild.
Was at our annual get together Saturday night, (we have a group that have been together about 45 yrs that contains a 6 hour winner and several so called National Champions).
All without fail were amazed we couldn't get any info or race reports. Several had tried the Cemetery Site of which they thought wasn't enough. Two made an effort to see Rd,2. But haven't reported back yet,I'm hoping for something back.
Maybe rd. 3. will provide info ?
We are a spoilt group tho, all from the Marlboro era.

Spoilt indeed - back then you would possibly have seen results in a daily paper or would have had to wait for NZMCN to come out with a writeup....

Yeah we're old all right lol, at the Dinner guys were saying how we waited about 10 or 12 weeks for the English MCN in newpaper form to come out by pidgeon post haha. I remember my folks used to listen to radio for sports results if I was away.
Where does everyone go nowdays faceache ?cos NZSBK doesn't have much ?

Yep spyda, I tried CTAS for Levels and Taupo and then Manfeild. But alas no more, huh ?
    Unless you pay I guess.
But hey, coulda watched Jet sprints for 'nicks' !!?? pffft.

Ended up looking at the new Mylaps to get some results.
In 2016 you would think/hope that you'd get some TV coverage of a NZ big meeting or series.Maybe it's coming to Ch 3 Sunday afternoon one day ?? lol. But ,I probably won't be bothered by then.

I used to piss my ex motherinlaw off by watching Boxing day live in about 1980.

    :
You forget the NZ general public doesn't give a fuck about motorcycle racing unless there is some sort of nasty crash to look at. Therefore selling advertising time that pays for the coverage is a tough task for the networks.

True - and when the meeting organisers arrange sponsors advertising where it will be seen on the live TV broadcast - then the on the spot producer asks for several thousand bucks under the counter to ensure the ads are in picture....It all turns to custard.
The last live Wanganui back in Don Cosford's day, the cameras were moved so that the major sponsors advertising was just out of shot....
That fucked any further live broadcasts.
