Kevin rated him i can remember him saying they sent him out on the RGV cold with no preconceptions from about the bike.
He the came back and gave the same exact same list of issues Kevin had been telling Suzuki about all season.

Turns out they are trying to help. Interesting they are increasing the pressure to give him more heat in the tyre, isn't it usually the other way around?

IIRC minimum tyre pressure rules were introduced following some tyre failures (Redding, Hayden et al) which Michelin attributed to teams having lowered pressures.

I've been waiting for an expert to come on and explain how raising pressures increases temps ?

its maybe inverse logic.as the tire heats up the pressure increases .But we all know that tyres that are soft heat up too much...is there a happy medium in there somewhere.Dani would run lower pressures but michi e are scared the tyres will delaminate ,as happened to redding etc.You would think they would have some faith in the ability of the teams to manage the situations. And with modern technology surely a tyre temp/pressure monitoring system can be quickly implemented.Isnt there supoosed to be rfid or somethig already in the tyres so that the actual tyre specification is known to the commentators and therefore the spectators/tv viewers?
Surely its a very short step to have the pressure/temp info also put in place.

The logic I put it to is lower pressure = more tyre touching tarmac = more heat and a happy Dani. But maybe the tyre has an optimum pressure they want it at.

    Confused.

Sort of. The heat is generated by tyre deflection as well. The trick is getting a balance so that as the pressure increases the tyre stops deflecting as much and keeps it at the optimum temp.

As the tyre wears though, that optimum temperature is lower. Hence the steep drop off in available traction.

Fucking awesome wannit! See the back of MM's RCV at the end?

Pity I had $50.00 on Crazy Joe for a podium. Thought he was gonna do it for me.
