They did a bit on the Carver many years ago. Probably feared the BBC would sue if they did another one.

They are really finding form and settling into the new format.

"my sphincter just opened like a set of stage curtains" (or close approximation to that anyway) - excellent eps 7/8.

And there you have it New Zealand.
Watch the part between Fucking and Nurburgring and the comments about "speed" are laid out clearly. Very clearly.

    Well, season 1 ended.

Overall I like the concept of the tent and visiting different locations even though substantial amounts still return to the UK for filming. It hasn't been too "Americanised" for the new owners and the "feel" of the show is growing.

As for the guest star appearances, perhaps more will be revealed.

    And on that disappointment...

    Was pretty mint I reckon.

BBC should just take it on the chin and let TGT do interviews, though I have enjoyed the creative ways the stars are killed off.

I wondered what the issue/politics was regarding that. Surely any show can do an interview.

The silhouettes for Conversation St have been good, as is the nod to Fawlty Towers with the "Welcome" signs at the beginning.

It's probably that they couldn't do the interview/lap/leaderboard format the same as it was, and chose to take the piss instead of a slight change of format. Cheap publicity and setting them apart from TG and all that; though seeing the response to TG, simply being good would be differentiation enough...

I believe the lap times of Eboladrome cannot be hand written, hence the computer system.
With their sense of humour, simply taking the piss out of the beeb would make a lot of sense.
