Welcome to Kiwibiker... That said the chaps commenting are NOT trolls and some of the more knowledgeable members of our online community, so maybe have a listen.

    Well said.

Sometimes, some people just need to be told the cold hard truth.... For their own benefit of course.

I could add couple other points but I feel I'm just being picky. Also you are already getting plenty of shit thrown at so I'll just wash my hands from this.

    Good luck with the sale.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Sorry to upset you (I stand by my 'dreaming' post).

Do a Trademe search for all bikes between the value of say $5 and $7k. This is your market. You may be surprised at the competition you are up against.

Correct, i recently picked up a near immaculate 2004 gixxer 750 for just over $5k with 40,000 genuine kms. All subjective tho, an immaculate example of the OPs bike would maybe stiil fetch$5k to the right person

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Shame the OP doesn't share that view...

The bike the OP advertised seems nice enough on the surface, but most experienced bikers would be wondering if it's crashed and "customized" after the crash. A Gixxer of that vintage would be nice in fairly original condition, the minute it goes down the streetfighter route it becomes very personal in taste IMHO.
