New to biking (Boostinu13)

Hello. Thought I would post here instead of just asking for help.

Worked with an instructor and got my learners in January. Was quite happy and excited. Got some motorbike gear and finally purchased a bike gt250r Hyosung which has just arrived.
To be honest I am frecking nervous as it is ALOT heavier and bigger then I imagined as I only did not get to see it as was downsouth (stupid yes) but was told it was the perfect learner bike. Heck have it now so gotta learn. Enquired at a few places to get lessons so hoping to find some 1 on 1 as can be quite nervous/shy around others espically when im learning stuff.
Sad story had it for all of 10mins dropped it and broke the handle so have to learn how to fix that to.

Work in the education and personal training industry for quite a few years, use to be heavily into cars, then into home renos and now wanting to give biking a good go.

As Blackbird said there are always a few idiots on forums like this. Just treat their comments with the contempt they deserve.

The contacts that Blackbird has given you are good and should you want to progress further then he'll be able to put you in touch with some advanced trainers too I'm sure. As for the size and weight of the bike - You'll adapt and a decent trainer will help you to master the art of pushing it around, taking it off the stand etc.

husa has a small h, the rest is true and as well as the crying he started at least two threads about it
What people forget is he had no idea it was me doing it, So he was blaming others for it.

Nothing funny about it! Philip is the best of the best - Chief Examiner of the Institute of Advanced Motorists. He puts a massive amount of voluntary time into raising riding skills

Was it a lever that broke?

It was a clipon the rod broke where it attaches to the bike. Was a good learning experience on how to fix it.

Seems like quite a few new riders posting in a similar situation recently. All in auk's, too, by the looks.

Could be an idea to get a wee group together with an instructor who would be happy to get the flock somewhere appropriate and do some good training.
