I sometimes wonder if a $200 bike in a paddock might be a better place to start for some. That way you can give it shit, drop it and have a shitload of fun all without over-thinking it all. If you have to think in bullet-points, you're doing it wrong.

I feel bad starting this post since it seems to have mended itself.

hell yes that would have been a good place to start. But oh well plus not many paddocks around. When and had a ride around a carpark today and got asked to leave after 20mins as i didnt see the sign saying no motorbikes.
