Have to agree, bought a GoPro last year, used it half a dozen times on rides, 5% interesting footage, 95% deleted. Still glad I bought one though.

Apparently you're about as good at reading as you are at making intelligent comments. He said FOR INSURANCE - ie, recording his daily rides incase there is an accident or something. In some countries its mandatory and its quite a smart thing to do on a motorbike or bicycle. At the least if something bad happens you can go look at the footage and see if there is something you need to learn/do differently/etc.

    grow a brain.

Fact of the matter is that although I bought it for bike vids, I found very quickly that such vids are really fucking boring. So I rarely use it any more.

You can set it to do time lapse though. Quite good to see which of the neighbourhood brats is the one pinching my fucking strawberries while I am out.
I use mine on rides to get stills later.. got some epic ones of 6-10 bikes all in a line going around a sweeper, etc. Frame by frame in adobe premier means you can pick the exact moment you want

Russia for one... its not a legal requirement, but if you dont have one you'll have trouble with insurance etc (also a higher chance of abuse by officials etc)

Thanks to those of you that actually read my post before commenting. It's always interesting to see how many muppets trawl this site and others and try to upset people, what fun their lives must be.
Will take your info and do a bit more research.
    Cheers for your time.

Gopro Session can be found for $200 if you look hard enough
1080p at 60fps and half the size of the normal gopro

Best feature is the auto looping - deletes the oldest footage when it runs out of space like a dashcam does

Just bought A Contour Roam3 for my Racing from shark they are on special ATM.
I'll use it for track, and my partner to video me on the track for learning purposes, Prob vid some dirt rides aswell.
Wont bother about the road bike maybe a Group ride but primarily a learning tool which is why I went for cheap rather than best quality.
I also didnt want a Square box hanging off my helmet or fairing.

Its a good deal $261NZD landed with most of the attachments thrown in

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
