    Fuel pissing out of Carb

I have an old 86 trx250 fourtrax that I have been restoring. The other day I cleaned the carburator out but didnt take anything much apart. When i put it back in and turned on the fuel it all came pissing out of the overflow valve and wouldn't stop. Any help is appreciated.
    Cheers

    The float valve's probably stuck.

Set your floats or test the needle valve

The primary "fix" method is give the carb bowls a tap with a spanner /screwdriver (etc) to jar the offending float free ... usually works

    Could be:

    - jammed float (tap bowl, as mentioned before)
    - old needle valve with hardened / worn / deformed rubber tip (change for new one)
    - float not floating (pull, check and make a decision, refit or get new one)
    - grit disturbed by cleanup trapped between needle valve and seat (no shortcuts: pull it all apart and clean everything, make sure it's sealed up properly on reassembly, be fussy or do it twice)

    Good luck!
