    It's only skin deep innit.

Summer temperatures bring all the sights, builder’s crack/short skirts/bikinis/pot bellies and inappropriate swimming attire, and yes, even the odd ‘screw your face geez’ visual moment. I digress…Though these people meet the required safety gear while riding a motorbike (a helmet) and I get that some people’s views on this is ‘’their bike their rules, up to them. But really, bare feet?

Yeah, each to their own but I cringe when I see riders in shorts, t-shirt and safety jandals, no gloves. The memory of gravel rash never goes away.

It's been 30c up here for weeks and a lot of riders are semi nekkid. A bee up the leg of the shorts could be startling never mind a tumble.

Twas the Largest Bumble Bee you ever did see.
An yep! it flew right up me left Stubbie shorts leg Samoan Safety Boots, Stubbie shorts, the beige ones! and a singlet,Helmet, naturally. (ah just going half a K to the dairy) from about 100m's out I saw it coming and could not get away from it despite some pretty interesting manouvering. My mum and dads neighbour who had followed me out of their street in his car, reported that the sight of his neighbours eldest son doing a full War Cry HAKA in the tide beside the causeway was so funny he had to stop in case he crashed. I've never got on my bike in anything less that boots trou a jacket and gloves ever since, an that was a long time ago.

Meh. Where do you draw the line? Cyclists are often in the same position, or worse, gear wise.

What a picture you paint caseye.

I've had bees in me hemlet and gained a fat lip, fat eyebrow and thick ear. My worst experience was riding through a swarm of the varmints and getting a few up the sleeves of me leather jacket. Little feckers went to town stinging the soft skin on the inside of me elbows, must have been (hah) as far as they could go. Oh, it hurt!

Looks like a couple ACC protesters to me. Heading out to darn well get some of their ACC payments back. Fuck you ACC.

Actually if the MC community was inclined to protest the levy a group ride with everyone wearing undies, sneekers and a helmet through the city would make the news. Unfortunately some knob would fall off ...... or the powers that be would take the point but then decide to pass legislation requiring ATGATT

i went through a shitload of samoan safetyboots kickstarting the big thumpers before i learnt that boots soles didn't rip in half when ya didn't get top dead centre.
but hey i was cool in more ways than one.

Intested? Several letters off making grammatical sense. Picking you're tough enough to not wear a seat belt?
