    Karma is a bitch

Funny when things work themselves out.

The man killed in a motorcycle crash near Gore on Tuesday was convicted of raping and killing a South Otago woman in Kaitangata in 1993.

Police yesterday confirmed the man who died after a motorcycle and two cars collided on State Highway 1, near Pukerau, was 46-year-old Jason Dwayne Lilly.

Lilly was riding his motorcycle between Pukerau and Waipahi when the crash occurred about 4pm on Tuesday. He died at the scene.

If he'd got an appropriate sentence he'd still be alive - and locked up.

Karma doesn't work in the real world and is a feel good expression used by simpletons

It is also a key concept in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Taoism. Basically ... the belief that actions lead to future consequences.

In many respects ... it does. Although not as frequently as I (some) may like ...

I believe in Karma, it's just that sometimes it happens in reverse, better late than never I say.

I wonder if the fact he perpetrated sub human acts 23 years ago qualifies to get him removed from the motorcycle stats?

This sort of article leaves me conflicted. Post incarceration, in theory at least, I believe in debt paid, get on with life.
In practice I feel a little relief that he won't get the chance to ruin another set of lives.

Unless he got raped on a daily basis by the "biggest" guy in prison I'd say he got off lightly in the Karma stakes.
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..
