Nah the SR400 is a classified and I think I have done a deal there. Assuming the money shows in my account this week it will be gone daddy gone.

Nah it just always amazes me with stuff like tools or whatever you get 35 watchers on something and no bids.

Oh, and the guy who bought my NC30 spares is onselling them... at four times the price he paid me. Yeah, good luck with that. -- more power to him, I CBF.

with tardme I just want shit gone.

I put stuff on watch so you can get an idea what punters are prepared to pay. Frantic bidding means there is keen interest, no bids, its overpriced.
I do like people who " want shit gone" and put a low BIN price on.
I passed on Norogs pile of BMW parts the other day and they went for $1500.00,as no shipping. I could have at least doubled that parting it out, these days can't be bothered...just want shit gone.
Was very tempted by this yesterday....

being on my watch list told me it sold for $11, 450 , bargain when you think what a project bike goes for and all the work and running around required

    Nice. Runs like a bird...

On EBay I was watchlisting things to see what they went for, and once I thought I knew the range of values I started bidding. Fourth time lucky.

Normally when buying bike tools or other bits and pieces they have been a set price, but the particular seller I was chasing this time only uses the auction system.

I use it for the same reasons.
Just stick a price on it to get it out of here. Sadly the retarded fuckwits on BeTradeMe ask the dumbest questions...

Ditto and my experience with automotive stuff has been really good. Put a realistic price on my wife's immaculate limited edition MX-5 with good quality photos and the phone was ringing off the hook for a week, even offering me more than we asked if the potential buyers could queue-jump. Same with the Street Triple - good photos and detail and it was gone really fast. Found the fuckwit questions for the car quite amusing and replied accordingly . The only person interested in the Street Triple that messed me about a bit was actually a KB member who irritates the shit out of most people on the forum. Quite happy to pay TM's prices on the basis of my limited experience.

Theyre generally there as a bit of a hint to the misses that there might be a hole in the bank account soon. Generally load up the expensive ones, then throw in something cheaper and she thinks thats a great deal. Part of married life business casing 101

Why equate watchers with bidders? They're two completely different concepts. People put stuff on their watchlist for all sorts of reasons.

It's similar to those people who complain that they got lots of page views but no bids.

It can be weird. Sometimes shit load of watchers but no bits, sometimes only a few watchers but two or three get into a bidding war and you get embarrassed at what it sells for ...

One nice thing on Ebay is the offer system. I've bought a few parts where I'm like.... mmm, I could buy it, but they want a bit much. Since I don't NEED it, I'll stick a cheeky offer on, and it's over to them if they want to sell it. They can only refuse and I'll keep shopping.

Last thing was a spare alternator for the GSA. UK seller wanted about 140 pounds, I thought nah, plus shipping that's too much, and offered 90. Accepted.

I had 12 trailers on my watch list and bought one.
I had half a dozen race bikes and bought one.
Now I have 10 loading ramps on watch list and its possible I will buy one.
I have successfully decreased the trademe stock levels making it easier for the remaining sellers to sell their items.

    Just saying.

I've been a no intent watcher.... perhaps im not sure of how much to pay for a certain item, Ill watch auctions til I decide what I want to buy....
I might be thinking of selling something similar so watch other auctions of same goods....

One things I've found is question askers very rarely actually bid let alone buy something....
