    aluminium paint stripper

    hi, id like to polish the frame of my gsxr but i need to get the clear coat off first. Ive tried diggers but it isnt working. does anyone know of a stripper that works? cheers

    In ChCh the Resene shops offer two types of paint stripper. One will work.
    Alternatively, Tony Pole had a stripping bath. A W Pole Electroplaters.

    Tergo Strip. Don't know about using it on aluminium though. I've used it to take off the type of paint they put on planes behind the jet exhausts.

    thanks!! i dropped a swingarm off. they looked pretty confused but assured me i could pick it up on tuesday.
    not cheap though, and they skimp a bit on PPE. the workshops dark. bit of a mickeymouse outfit if you ask me.

    That shit was brilliant. I am getting an NC30 front rim powdercoated but I will get all the shitty old paint off it first with that bath. Did a brilliant job on a bunch of pushbike parts I had done.
