eek Visiting lovely NZ - Can I ride with an Aussie L-Plate license?

    G'day from the U.S.!

I will be visiting the Auckland area from 16 Jan-22 Jan before returning home to Melbourne. I have an Australian L-Plate license - can anyone tell me if this is enough to legally ride in NZ?

    Cheers!
    Tom

Yes it is unfortunately, you'll be restricted in what you can ride though.

Certainly can, but you are limited to our significantly smaller selection of lams bikes than is available your side of the ditch

The locals are a bit friendlier though :-P

    I joke, enjoy your trip!

Not angry in the slightest. You gave me the smarmy slow clap. I gave you what I think is a suitable response to it. It's how I roll.
