Any not so expensive trailers for sale in lower South Island. Not a lot on trademe in this area. Maybe ongoing track day space on trailer for shared costs from Welly to Manfeild.

Yep. I ran a add on fb but im getting alot of 1200 offers.
I priced 700kg hub stub and spring with hitch for $198.00 with trade discount. Can do electrics for under 100 and steel for 140(already have axle steel).
Wheels likely 50 and preformed wheel arches are 55 for 9 inch wide. Looking at about $700 to build one I am just being lazy seeing if I pick one up for 400-500 first.

This is the last one I made cost 560 on the road from memory but I had the wheels already. Was in 2009

Bloody cheap! Yeah the 1200 mark seems to be about where they all sit. Just need to assess how valuable your time and effort is to make the thing (guessing it would take around 6 hours?) and factor that in.

I started the last one at 7.30 and had wof and rego at 4pm without the outside 2 rails and box added. Painted it the following day. I think it was more like 13-15 hrs but im not going to be as quick as someone who makes them for a living.

    Bike arrived

    Faults

    No battery.
Fairing almost touching cat and the paint almost caught fire.
Exhaust butterfly valve not connected to drive unit and no cables to do so.
Rear brake reservoir bottle has been removed and install to front with kinked hose.
Fairing holes mostly drilled in wrong spots.
Speedo unit was in a box and the inner glass and lcd panel smashed.
Speedo mount area onto intake snouts broken.
    Rearset parts almost falling off.

Bit unhappy with the quality of the purchase considering he had failed to mention these issues.

So far I have rebuilt the tacho removing speedo parts so its rev counter and warning lights only. Made mounts and installed it. Works fine.
Ordered cat converter removal unit which is smaller than the cat so will clear fairings ok.
Ordered exhaust drive motor removal unit (electronic) because they dont like the original not being connected.
Constructed a working set of rear sets out of spares I had at home.
Re-installed res bottle that belongs on rear back and ordered billet unit for front.
    Ordered battery.
Secured wiring harness which was just hanging inside fairings.
Relocated throttle grip angle so it doesnt touch fairings.

To do when cat eliminator arrives. Remove butterfly valve and weld cap over the mounting area.

Bit of black smoke when reving in garage. Possible it may not have exhaust sensor. I did notice a plug unit that looks like a cheap resistor exhaust sensor bypass. Any thoughts. Im not sure these things work and likely a Chinese sales con.

One of my bikes just has a resistor and the other a plug in jobby. If they are not working the bike will throw a CEL light.
