    Are Labour reading their polls?

This morning I heard an angry little rant from Andrew Little. He was upset that the Prime Minister will not be at Waitangi for the official observation of Waitangi Day. I can't believe he read a poll that indicated taking that stance will win his party support from the electorate. Almost every comment I saw referencing Bill Engish's statement was to the effect, "Bloody good job!"

Perhaps Mr Little likes being leader of the opposition. He'll need better judgement than that if he wants to be PM.

Little is quite adept at being an idiot/leading muppets into oblivion.
    Long may he continue.

As for the PM not attending Waitangi, good on him.
Not being allowed to speak is tantamount to being an ornament on display.

If he was invited to speak, things would be far different.

Hopefully he enjoys a relaxing day somewhere else.

Many years back there was a period when it was called 'New Zealand Day'

Yeah they still had Waitangi shit but the significance changed to a day for all New Zealanders to enjoy.

Mind you it was probably before weekend trading and families actually got to enjoy the extended weekend.

Mr Little. It's been and will continue to be interesting watching him transform from a Union spokesperson to a PM wantabe. Now despite my negative opinion of most Union spokespersons he mostly came across as intelligent and reasoned.

Unfortunately he is struggling to transform the same image to a Party Leader running for PM.

All the more reason if you are that way inclined, to go way lefterer than the National Light version that Labour has become.
In todays political climate you have to be prepared to do something radical if you want real change. And do they?
    I cant see that happening.....

    I predict a term of National/Maori Party/Winston.

After that it will be gloves off and heads rolling.

No offence to anyone with 'Little' as their surname, but to have any chance of success in politics; surely a bolder name like 'Mr BIG' might stand a better chance?

Let's hope that Winston peters out into insignificance

I've had that feeling myself although both Nats and Winston seem to have ruled each other out. Still, if a bit of power requires Winston to jump in bed with the Nats, I'm sure he would, as long as the Nats bring the lube.

Most men in NZ have a name for their penis.

When John key was asked about this, he admitted that his dick was called Bill English......

personally, any party that allowed a dickhead to remain in the party after apologizing for being a man and then allowed a leader of said party to openly say they will put a Quota of women in Parliament will never get my vote, think i might have to vote for akzle this election

It's the opposition's job to oppose, however meaningless and hypocritical. You may remember that Bill English was most scathing of Helen Clark when she declined to go to Waitangi. I think the hypocritical judgement boot is well and truly on Bill English's foot...

I'm no Bill English fan, but I support his decision. It's time that the boorish, erratic and contemptuous behaviour leveled at Waitangi guests is finally rejected. If they want dignitaries to attend - then it's time to behave in a dignified manner.
