Can't be certain but does have early (plunger framed) Jawa shouting at me. Those little vent slots scream eastern block as I know the swing-arm models have similar. Then I could be well out of the ballpark...

Yep, just googled images for Jawa plunger...spot on

It would look good on a Vinny. At least then it would have a quality part on it

A friend of mine has a saying about Vincents. They designed a motorcycle and then put it through "The Complicator"

When I was a kid I heard a lot worse than that...The old man used to reline and set up Vinnie clutches for Whiting and Waltho in ChCh.
He was nearly as cynical as me. It was an expensive process doing those clutches, LOL...

Vincent....saw one in bits in a shed in Northland last year....only recall the frame, it was like a large tube/tank bit where the oil went.

I think you would need a far larger tool box that that for any British bike.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Time flies when you're having fun Volty...that was the year before last. And your right, that tool box (actually a battery box) wouldn't be nearly big enuf for all the speshul tools required to work on a Vinny. Although you wouldn't need an axle spanner for your wingnuts
