One things I've found is question askers very rarely actually bid let alone buy something....

I ask a lot of questions... If it seems like it will not be a waste of my time or theirs.
Especially if it is pricey or a bit of a drive.
You can save a lot of coin if you ask for the missing info or are prepared to pick up an item from an area people don't want to go to.

Part & parcel of the game unfortunately
Though keeping an eye on particular auctions is a good way to gauge the realistic market value of some items etc.
My last purchase I made one inquiry via the Q & A, arranged to view the 2 bikes made the decision on whether or not to purchase, the seller informed me of what his reserve was and at the closing minute of auction bid the price & got the bikes.
May bear a bonus from it though as the bikes were stored up with a bunch of aircraft including a gyrocopter, stunt plane, & a Harvard.....might be able to wrangle a flight in the harvard in the not too distant future

Pays not to dick people around & be on level.....can get some unexpected extras by being decent sometimes.

At any point in time I would have a couple of dozen things in my watchlist that I have no intention of buying. It never occurred to me that it might hurt the feelings of some of the more sensitive sellers...

PS: If what you're listing isn't selling, you're asking too much

Yeah, but if it is cheap enough people will buy just about anything.
You might not like what's on offer though.
