    group rides seem more dangerous only because there are usually a bunch of unknown factors

    group ride with a bunch of competent folk who you trust, safer than normal traffic

    random group who contain every strata of society, pfft next please

    Pretty much sums up why I'm very choosey who I ride with.

    Last week, on my first ride to Akaroa in months, I was with 3 friends. One of whom lived in my mirrors most of the way there.

    He's still a friend, but I won't be riding wit him again.
