Last time I was there was in 2011 (20th anniversary) attended about nine prior events and enjoyed every one. I think only one of those was cancelled late in the day (2-3 races were to follow) due to a big off on the run down to the S's from the hill.
'' i'd let you touch me.''

Sorry fulla but I am spoken for.

I see he had a 2nd in the first race, then dropped down the field in the 2nd race, He was always a hard charger (especially in speedway), he may need to carry several spare engines, lol

Stripped all the teeth off the primary belt. They had alignment problems in practice and adjusted it for the first race. Crank seal was leaking on Marks (swingers) engine which was the one they were using on Sunday (after a blow up on the Maney engine a fortnight earlier at the Festival,) and the oil got on the belt probably contributing to the tearing the teeth off it.

However as the man said, dry day at Paeroa and eventually hot and sunny, with some great racing, especially in F2. Some spectacular offs but best of all, so far as I know, everyone got up and walked away.
We waited until they made the decision to race and came down by car. Very easy to find a park. No problems getting beers, food or good viewing! Some good racing and the cloud kept the temperature down.

Hopefully they still made a profit. I'd hate to see it die.

A great day with some great racing but numbers were way down. It is doubtful whether they recouped the cost after chatting to a senior committee member who mentioned what it cost to put the event on.

We've been attending every year for years now and I reckon they'll be having a serious debrief and discussion about its future.
